Liposculpture: Remove fat from specific areas of the body to improve shape and contour.

liposculpture

Introduction:

Liposculpture uses a combination of liposuction, fat grafting, skin tightening and, where needed, skin removal to optimise your body shape.  This is usually targeted at the torso, upper arms, buttocks and/or thighs.

Natural harmony is best achieved by emphasising the natural shadows and contours that are evident on a youthful, healthy physique.  Liposculpture uses liposuction to remove excess fat, fat transfer to add volume, skin tightening to addresss mall amounts of excess skin and skin removal to address larger amounts of excess skin.  A personalized treatment plan will be created for you when you meet with Dr Dan Butler

Frequently asked questions:

Am I a good candidate for liposculpture surgery?

Prior to proceeding with any liposculpture surgery, it is important that your weight is stable and sustainable.  Ideally a body mass index of 30 or under will help achieve the best possible results.  It is important to have some clear ideas in your mind on what you are looking to achieve from the surgery and these can then be matched to surgical techniques available to come up with a treatment plan.

What are the risks of liposculpture surgery?

Like any surgical procedure, liposculpture carries potential risks and complications, which include pain, bruising, swelling, surface irregularities, asymmetry and the need for multiple procedures to achieve the desired outcome.  Dr Butler will discuss all the risks with you at your consultation.

Will liposculpture leave any visible scars?

There will be scars associated with the surgery and these can vary from small scars around 5mm in length up to much longer scars in situations when skin removal isrequired.  Regardless of the scar size, every effort is made to conceal these scars in natural skin lines/shadows as much as possible.
